I have a place that I call home
I have a place where I can go
When I am sad you will find me here
I have a place that I will fight
In this place is my heart my life
When I am glad you will find me here

Home again
Welcome home to what you are
Welcome home to all you know
Welcome home
Home Again
This is where you got your wings
This is all your hopes and dreams

God of Gods

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

Taken from Deut 10:12-22
Over all the world
The sky and all that walks this earth
None can e’r deserve
The fear the glory you deserve

I bow before you now
I boldy now declare

God of Gods
Lord of Lords
Mighty and Awesome
you are
None can compare
None will I give
The glory I give to you

Defending the weak and the poor
bringing salvation to all who’ll receive
As an offering you desire
wholly my life in devotion to you

No Kick Back

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

No kick back on the weekend. It’s time to do more work. Growth hurts often times. Hurt does not always indicate growth. However a great hurt always indicates an opportunity for a greater growth. I’m not talking phyical growth but spiritual and personal growth.

Reflections

Monday, May 26th, 2003

Alas, the semester is over. Whew! First semester back in a University since
BJU days. What an awesome God we serve. I’m with the Psalmist “I rejoice in
your promise like one who finds great spoil.” God’s promises are true
through and through! Looking back on this semester and seeing how endlessly
faithful God is blows me away like a tumble weed in a desert. Beginning with

Experience down in SD for Christmas Conference, seeing God change hearts,
then becoming a part of Campus Crusade Leadership, seeing God change
hearts,
daily interaction with other students, seeing God change hearts,
school wide gathering in prayer, seeing God change hearts,
International Students, seeing God change hearts,
revival services IBC for youth and church, seeing God change hearts,
night of worship in Hayward, Seeing God change hearts.
No China for me, seeing God open doors and change my heart,

It’s self explanatory. Our God is at work non stop. the choice is ours. are
we gonna take hold of the blessing of being a part of His movement? Or are
we gonna sleep and miss out on His incredible Love filled plan. Every action
every word every breath, let it ring with praise to our God!

When you pray…

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003

Do you ever just sit with yourself and Jesus by your side and start thinking and praying and get absolutely blown away? Maybe I should elaborate a little more on that. I’ve been trying to grow in my prayer life these past few weeks. Basically trying to make God so real in every aspect of life.

Let me use an art illustration to kinda depict how it often is with my prayer life. So suppose you’re sitting there with master artist Renoir. Well as you’re painting He’s sitting there watching you and you just look over at him every 10 mins or so and nudge him and say “yo Renoir Dawg, I’m pretty good huh?” He just smiles back at you and kinda roles his eyes. How often do we treat God like this? We have issues EVERY single day of our life. But when we pray, the one time we pray before we go to bed or right before we eat our Wheaties in the morning, we just do the same thing to God. We ask for his approval. We don’t ask for his Wisdom, we don’t ask for His experience, We don’t ask Him to make us better persons. (Keep Reading On, there’s more)

Kickin into Sleep Mode

Friday, March 14th, 2003

Here we are again. Seems like we were just here last year. Getting sleepy, classes are coming to a highpoint sort of. You’re either facing midterms or finals. Always seems like an irony to me. Just when I should be kicking into high gear for the last stretch of the semester thats exactly when my mind and body start to get lazy. I know I start to slack off, I start to do all the fun assignments and forget about the important (aka. Hard) assignments.

So what is the source of motivation. The first thing that comes to mind is GPA. Cuz you know how Asians are, it’s all about the GPA. If you’re not at least at a 3.9, you may as well quit school. :-) Luckily there is grace for the “Happy with a 3.0″ students. Ok so GPA may not be a good motivation. What about, the job you are preparing for when you get out of College? Ok then there’s grad school first. Yeah but if you don’t do well you may as well forget about grad programs. Lastly there is girls. Cuz we all know girls like smart guys. =) j/p…
