These past few weeks have been action packed. No School, Christmas, San Diego. What have yoooooouuuuuuuuuu been up to? I learned so much in S.D. Powerful speakers, Great bonding, Worship!

I think of all the things I learned in S.D. the greatest challenge was to love God whole heartedly. I’ve found myself so often wrapped up in doing good things thinking that that was my love for God. But really, I replaced that intimate relationship with service.

I’m not one to make new years resolutions, and this year is no exception, I’m not making any “new year” resolutions. However, I have made some new commitments.

First, I want to seek God in an intimate way. I don’t want to get caught up worshiping his creation (eg. People, Books, Music). So in practical terms, I’m gonna spend a bunch more time in his word, praying, reflecting on who He is, and researching more about God, be it through books, people, or tapes.

Second, I wanta seek out intimate relationships with God’s people. Specifically I need to find some Godly guys who can keep me accountable and challenge me in my relationship with Christ. The women, well, they’re always there. hahaha. j/k. Yeah, my friendships in general, while I need those unsaved friends who I can be a testimony for Christ to, I need those strong bonds with Christians too! I’ll find a balance I hope!

I’m trudging through Knowledge of the Holy, by A.W. Tozer. I’m gonna write some thoughts on it in here in the next few days. It’s a really deep but very worthwhile book to read. Get a copy today!

This semester promises to be action packed. Go with God, he goes with You!
