HP Terrible Home Computer Customer Support and Customer Service

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

WOW! I have had the most terrible HP (Hewlett Packard) customer support experience ever with HP. So I recently requested a new harddrive as a replacement to one that had gone bad. Everything went smoothly there. Harddrive showed up as promised. Because my Hard Drive had gone bad it was naturally at a data recovery center. The process of recovering data was not an easy one and was taking about 3 weeks. During this time HP Decided to charge my credit card for $1300.00. Yes! I was outraged! So I called customer service (in India). The 5 technicians I spoke with had no answer for the unexplained charges. Finally one said a “supervisor” would call me back in 24 Hours. No call back. Today I called again and spoke with Joyson Van. He has repromised me that a “Supervisor” will call me back in 24-48 hours. I’m crossing my fingers. I am VERY VERY upset at this incident. We’ll see what happens.

It’s disappointing especially since I have so many HP computers around the house, 3 desktops, 2 laptops, all from HP. This isn’t the kind of service HP used to give. Too bad they’re hiring such terrible service reps and that they’re outsourcing to countries where we can’t understand what they’re saying. Another upsetting item is that everytime I call HP Technical support the connection sounds like SKYPE and is really bad.
